PROFILE
The Bar Waiter/Waitress will ensure that all food, beverage and other products are served promptly and in the most efficient and effective manner, delivering the highest possible standards of service to all guests in the Bars; the Bar Waiter/Waitress will also be pro-active in maintaining and/or improving department profitability whilst following the Hotel policies, procedures and standards.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete the full range of bar duties: cleaning and setting equipment; restock items; interact with customers; provide detailed information; make recommendations; up-sell additional products; take accurate orders; communicate details to the kitchen or bar staff; serve food/drinks/other products; provide accurate bills; process payments, serve food and drink orders; process bills; handle payments,
- Assist with managing shift activities in the bars,
- Train and coach team members so they develop their system knowledge and personal skills,
- Assign duties to subordinates, resolve issues/problems, and encourage other team members to ensure service standards and company policies are achieved,
- Respond to guests' needs and requests, resolve issues/complaints/problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service,
- Work proactively, focusing on delivering standards whilst maximising revenues,
- Build strong relationships with other personnel from kitchens, restaurants, room service, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- High school graduate or equivalent,
- Minimum 1 year of restaurant/bar waiter experience, or in the catering/hospitality sector,
- Having attended a hotel/catering school as well as having previous experience in a similar luxury hotel, will be considered additional advantages,
- Exceptional customer service skills,
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written),
- Active listening skills,
- Must speak, read, and write Greek and English; knowledge of additional languages (Russian, etc.) will be considered an additional advantage.
