St Raphael Resort & Marina is looking for a new associate for the position of Restaurants Manager to grow with us.

 

Job Overview:

The Restaurants Manager will ensure the smooth running of all Restaurants, Conference Rooms and Event Halls, in the most efficient and effective manner. He/she will deliver the highest possible standards of service through the effective development, management and leadership of the department’s human resources, equipment and provisions.

Main Responsibilities & Duties:

  • To implement and train the correct hotel service standards, monitor and strive for continuous improvement.
  • To thoroughly understand, adhere to and train in all Hotel standards in food quality, presentation, service, guests care culture, cleanliness, food safety and hygiene.
  • To monitor all Restaurants activities by actively participating in the service and be vigilantly attentive to service details, buffet standards and all produce quality. 
  • To co-ordinate effectively with the related/dependent departments through regular contact, before, during and after service/shift about speed of service, item availability and popularity, inter-relations. 
  • To inspect all Restaurants, Conference Rooms and Event Halls daily (front and back) to ensure cleanliness, physical condition and functioning of equipment.
  • To ensure the daily supervision of all subordinates ensuring that their actions, duties and opening and closing duties are carried out in accordance with the pre-set procedures.
  • To ensure and monitor staffing levels and rotas according to business levels. 
  • To communicate to the Executive Chef and all superiors, all deviations from standard portion size and methods of preparation.
  • To communicate cost issues/financial status to all in the team in order to increase involvement and commitment.
  • To initiate new ideas to improve service and encourage all other team members to give their view.
  • To actively assist in the training of team members ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum efficiency and in the most productive manner.
  • To participate in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in each other’s welfare, safety and development.
  • To use all correct standards and methods of service as stated in the Department’s Operations Manual and SOPs.
     

Qualifications & Experience:

  • University or Hotel Higher School degree in a relevant subject will be consider as advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in 4- or 5-star Hotels
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English languages. It would be very useful to be acquainted with a third European language. 
  • Computer literate and familiar with Word and Excel.
  • Analytical skills, responsible and able to present results.

  • Organizational, Managerial and Leadership skills
  • Readiness to take on responsibilities and duties beyond the narrow frame of his/her responsibilities.
  • Ability to work together and communicate effectively with all team members
  • Excellent analytical skills and able to present results.
  • Pleasant and friendly personality, fair, reliable, and polite with a high sense of customer care.
  • Holder of an EU passport/ID
