AMARA, 5-star Hotel, in Limassol Cyprus is seeking to recruit a Private Licenced Security Officer (Night).

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Security Officer will be responsible to protect and safeguard all guests (internal and external of the Hotel), their belongings and all Hotel properties, assets and grounds, in the most efficient and effective manner, through the effective development, management and leadership of the Hotel’ human resources, equipment and provisions; the Security Officer will also be pro-active in maintaining and/or improving department profitability in accordance with the Hotel policies, procedures and standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manage all day-to-day Security operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards, coordinating resources to ensure that all possible issues are efficiently resolved,

Have a complete understanding of all Security operations, the entire property layout and the exact whereabouts and functioning of all equipment of an operational nature,

Ensure that their actions, duties and opening & closing duties, set ups, cleanings and other be-fore, during and after preparations, are completed in accordance with the pre-set procedures,

Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service; interact with all guests and visitors; sense, identify and anticipate their needs; quickly respond to maximum satisfaction; seek/ action/learn from feedback; develop/maintain the files of compiled guest preferences, and report upward and downward should a guest or visitor not be content with their experience,

Demonstrate thorough knowledge and ability in: the execution of all correct security standards, their required daily work, the etiquette while dealing with guests and people, ground and floor lay outs, the staff force of the Hotel, facilities, services, events and entire property and ground lay outs; monitor and strive for continuous improvement at all times,

Keep their workstation well organised and neat, report any issues to superiors,

Ensure compliance with all security standards and preventative measures; monitor and follows proper key control guidelines in loss prevention and in the property,

Assist in conducting investigations and compiling reports and records on a timely manner for any theft, loss, suspicious movements or any incidents related to the security of the Hotel,

Assist external government and law enforcement agencies, in the investigation and handling of security, crimes, incidents, etc. involving the Hotel, its employees and/or guests; be in direct touch with VIP/government guests and their private security personnel,

Assist in planning, delivering and facilitating regular staff awareness training as well as advising key personnel on security matters and procedures,

Patrol the entire property grounds, floors and boundary areas for the purpose of general security; watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting or loitering around the Hotel public or guest areas as well as unusual activities that would impair the wellbeing of guests and employees,
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

High school graduate or equivalent,

Minimum 1 year of previous experience

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written),

Active listening skills,

Must speak, read, and write Greek and English; knowledge of additional languages (Russian, etc.) will be considered an additional advantage.
