About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Environmental Health and Safety Officer to assist in managing and maintaining the hotel’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs.
This role is essential in ensuring compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations while reinforcing the hotel’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and the well-being of guests and staff. The Officer will collaborate with key departments to promote a culture of excellence and continuous compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain the hotel’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and sustainability programs, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international luxury hospitality standards.
Conduct proactive inspections across guest areas and operational departments to maintain a safe, elegant, and environmentally responsible environment.
Assist in investigating incidents and maintaining accurate HSE and sustainability records.
Deliver and support staff training on safety, environmental protection, and sustainability practices.
Assist with inspections, audits, certifications, and assessments conducted by authorities and third parties, ensuring the hotel is always prepared.
Requirements
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) role or a similar position, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of environmental management systems, safety protocols, and local health and safety regulations.
Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively under pressure. Ability to collaborate with diverse teams across departments.
Languages: Greek and English language skills are mandatory. Additional languages are an advantage.
