Job Purpose

The Maintenance Coordinator / Engineer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all technical and maintenance activities of the hotel. The role involves supervising the maintenance team, overseeing preventative and emergency repairs, and ensuring that all building systems function efficiently and in line with safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily tasks carried out by the maintenance team

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all technical systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facilities

  • Monitor energy consumption and assist in implementing cost-saving solutions

  • Communicate and coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs

  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with local safety and regulatory standards

  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and prepare reports as needed

  • Participate in the procurement of maintenance tools, parts, and equipment

  • Provide guidance and on-the-job training to maintenance staff

  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to address technical needs and guest service requirements

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related technical discipline

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel or facility management environment

  • Solid knowledge of hotel building systems and equipment

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and leadership skills

  • Good level of English (spoken and written)

  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations

  • Computer literate; knowledge of maintenance management software is an advantage

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively
