JOB PURPOSE
The Front Office Supervisor will supervise and ensure the smooth running of the Reception, Reservations, and Telephone operations in the most efficient and effective manner, delivering the highest possible standards of service to all guests (internal and external of the Hotel), through the effective development, management and leadership of the department’ human resources, equipment and provisions; the Front Office Supervisor will also be pro-active in maintaining and/or improving department profitability in accordance with the Hotel policies, procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and deputise for the Front Office Manager when required.
- Supervise daily Front Office operations including Reception, Reservations, and Telephone services.
- Ensure outstanding guest service by anticipating needs, handling feedback and complaints, and maintaining high service standards throughout the guest journey.
- Manage staff scheduling, supervision, training, and performance in line with business levels, labour standards, and hotel policies.
- Drive revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and promotion of hotel services, facilities, and upgrades.
- Monitor operational standards, systems accuracy, cleanliness, and readiness of guest rooms and public areas.
- Assist with cost control, stock management, reporting, and achieving departmental financial targets.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, tour operators, travel agents, and business partners.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Front Office supervisory or similar hospitality role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Good knowledge of hotel Front Office systems and procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
