JOB PURPOSE:

The Chef de Partie will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, supervising and training Commis Chefs and Cooks, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, hygiene, and kitchen operations in line with hotel policies.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take full ownership of a specific kitchen section and ensure its smooth and efficient operation.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your specialty to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and support Commis Chefs and Cooks, ensuring they consistently meet quality and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in the development of new dishes and menus in collaboration with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering supplies, and minimize waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional growth.
  • Ensure proper portion control, cost management, and adherence to hotel standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • High school graduate (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Formal culinary education or certification will be considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in a 4* or 5* hotel or an upscale restaurant.
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, food hygiene, and kitchen safety standards.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Creativity and passion for food presentation and innovation.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Greek will be considered an advantage.
