Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrician / Automation Technician to maintain and support all electrical, automation, control, and smart-building systems across the family’s residential and commercial properties. The successful candidate will ensure reliable operation of electrical infrastructure, building automation systems, security systems, and related equipment.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and servicing of electrical distribution systems, switchboards, lighting systems, generators, UPS systems, and control panels.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, wiring issues, lighting systems, sockets, breakers, contactors, relays, and associated equipment.
Monitor, operate, and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS), smart-home technologies, and integrated control systems.
Diagnose faults within automation systems, sensors, actuators, controllers, and communication networks.
Maintain and support access control systems, CCTV systems, intercoms, gate automation systems, and security infrastructure.
Perform testing and inspection of electrical installations to ensure safety and compliance with applicable regulations.
Respond promptly to power outages, electrical failures, automation alarms, and emergency system malfunctions.
Coordinate with external contractors and specialist vendors for electrical and automation projects.
Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of electrical and automation equipment.
Maintain fire alarm systems, emergency lighting systems, and other life-safety equipment.
Support general facility maintenance activities when required, including minor repairs, painting, and property upkeep.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, electrical drawings, inspection reports, and spare parts inventories using CMMS systems.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, health and safety regulations, and company procedures.
Participate in on-call emergency response duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; vocational training or certification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, Automation, Controls, or related trade preferred.
5 - 8 years of experience as an Electrician, Automation Technician, Controls Technician, or Facilities Maintenance Technician.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation controls, BAS platforms, low-voltage systems, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Experience with smart building technologies, PLCs, sensors, actuators, and building management systems will be considered an advantage.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Physically capable of lifting up to 40 kg, climbing ladders, and working in varied environments.
Good verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
Valid manual driving license is mandatory.
