Columbia Restaurants - Junior Accountant

Scope of job:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting overall financial efficiency within the company.

Main responsibilities:

• Record and post invoices for purchases, expenses, and other financial transactions.
• Handle bank and cash payments, including processing other bank-related debits.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts, resolving any discrepancies.
• Record incoming payments and receipts promptly and accurately.
• Prepare and process supplier payments efficiently.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an accountant or bookkeeper.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications (especially Excel).
• Experience with Microsoft Business Dynamics 365 will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance standards is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
• Fluent in Greek and English
