Columbia Restaurants – Host / Hostess

As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and present a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service, and high standards.
Reports to: Reception Manager and/or Manager on Duty

Main Responsibilities

• Welcoming and greeting visitors and guests upon their arrival and departure

• Escorting and seating customers to the dining and bar areas

• Engaging with guests to ensure they are happy with service

• Providing excellent customer service

• Managing the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas

• Providing accurate wait times and monitoring waiting lists

• Maintaining a clean and organised reception area

• Answering guests’ and visitors’ enquiries in a professional manner

• Tending to special guest needs and requests

• Ensuring HACCP and Health & Safety policies and procedures are implemented and maintained

• Attending job-specific trainings

• Attending team communication meetings

Key Requirements

Skills

• Fluent in Greek and English is a must

• Excellent phone etiquette and restaurant/bar etiquette

• Strong planning and organizational skills

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work in shifts as needed

• Confident and well presented

• Able to work under pressure and multitask

• Attention to detail

Level of Experience

• Experience working as a Host/Hostess or Receptionist

• High school diploma and/or hospitality certification
