Columbia Restaurants - Cashiers

SCOPE OF JOB

The scope of this role is to provide excellent customer service by accurately processing transactions, handling payments, and assisting guests with their purchases in a professional and friendly manner, while ensuring company standards are maintained at all times.

Reports to:
Store/Outlet Manager

Main responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Operate the cash register/POS system efficiently and accurately.

• Handle cash, credit/debit card, and other transactions securely.

• Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as required.

• Maintain a tidy, organized, and clean cashier station.

• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.

• Support colleagues during busy periods, ensuring smooth operations.

• Follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

• Report any discrepancies, technical issues, or customer concerns promptly.

• Attend job-specific trainings and team meetings.
  
  

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Skills and Knowledge

• Fluent in Greek and English language (additional languages will be considered an advantage).

• Excellent numerical and cash-handling skills.

• Proficient in using POS systems.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Good organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Knowledge of health & safety and basic hygiene standards.

Level of Experience
