PROFILE
The Chambermaid/Cleaner will ensure that all assigned guestrooms, public and other related areas are cleaned and maintained in the most efficient and effective manner, as directed and assigned by superiors, delivering the highest possible standards to all guests, in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all assigned guestrooms, public and other related areas are cared for according to health and safety standards and Company practices,
- Complete the full range of housekeeping duties: use cleaning equipment; make beds; sort, load and change linens; tidy up guestrooms; dust and polish furniture, fixtures, coverings and fittings; maintain, clean and sanitize bathrooms and toilets; clean mirrors, windows and balconies; dispose of trash and waste; vacuum and clean carpets & rugs; sweep, vacuum, polish and mop hard floors; ensure corridors and doorways are kept clear,
- Keep specialty equipment and areas stocked up, neat and tidy; assist with inventories,
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits, necessary repairs or replacements,
- Respond to guests' needs and requests, resolve problems and complaints in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service,
- Train/coach other team members so they develop their system knowledge and personal skills
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Minimum one-year experience in a similar role,
- Previous hands-on experience with cleaning tasks, equipment and products,
- Prior experience working in a 5-star environment or in a luxury hotel is desirable,
- Ability to work quickly with little supervision and without compromising quality,
- Good customer service skills,
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written),
- Must speak and read both English and Greek; knowledge of additional languages (Russian, etc.) will be considered an additional advantage.
