Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu planning and development.
· Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure quality and consistency in all dishes.
· Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high levels of performance and productivity.
· Ensure food preparation and presentation meet the hotel's standards for taste and appearance.
· Monitor food costs and assist in managing the kitchen budget.
· Maintain inventory control and order supplies as needed.
· Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
· Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end hotel or fine dining restaurant.
· Culinary degree or equivalent culinary training.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Proficiency in menu planning and food cost management.
· Extensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
· Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
· Food safety certification is a plus.
