Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Cook A to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes, ensuring that all culinary standards are met. You will work closely with our executive chef and kitchen staff to maintain excellence in all culinary operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Assist with the development of new menu items and daily specials.
Ensure that all food preparation meets hygiene and safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including food storage areas.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and service.
Monitor stock levels, and place orders for ingredients as necessary.
Adhere to portion control and waste management procedures.
Assist with training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Cook A or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
Strong understanding of Cypriot cuisine and Mediterranean flavors.
Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a high-energy kitchen.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
A positive attitude, teamwork skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
