Job Description

Our client is a company providing audit, tax, consulting and accounting services looking to hire a Bookkeeper for its offices in Nicosia.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting practices, be proficient with e-Soft accounting software, and have hands-on experience managing payroll including TD7 submissions, VAT reporting, and VIES submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded in e-Soft.
Process and manage monthly payroll, including employee records, timesheets, and statutory deductions.
Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with local tax laws.
Handle VIES (VAT Information Exchange System) reporting for cross-border EU transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.
Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with audits and liaise with auditors.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in e-Soft accounting software.
Fluency in Greek and English a must
Strong knowledge of payroll processing, VAT, and VIES reporting.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with local financial regulations and tax requirements.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
ACCA 

Remuneration Package:
Approx. 1800 Gross Monthly
13th salary.
After the six-month probation period, the employee shall participate in the Provident Fund Scheme 5%.

Working hours:
8.30- 5.30pm (Monday till Thursday ) and then Friday 8.30am - 2pm
