Job Description

PROFILE: The Barman will ensure the smooth running of the Bar, making sure that all food, drinks, cocktails and beverages are prepared and served promptly and in the most efficient and effective manner, delivering the highest possible standards of service to all guests, the Barman will also be pro-active in maintaining and/or improving department profitability whilst following the Hotel policies, procedures and standards.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete the full range of bar duties: interact with guests, make drinks, serve food/drinks/other products, provide detailed information, make recommendations, up-sell products, take accurate orders, communicate information to the kitchen or bar staff, provide accurate bills, handle payments: clean and set equipment, restock items, assign duties, work stations, responsibilities to subordinates, direct staff performances, assist with managing shift activities in the bars, assist in the creation of new drinks, ensure service standards and company policies are achieved, train and coach team members so they develop their system knowledge and personal skills, respond to guest needs and requests, resolve issues/complaints/problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service, work proactively, focusing on delivering standards whilst maximising revenues, build strong relationships with other personnel from kitchens, restaurants.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: High school graduate or equivalent, - Minimum 1 year experience as a Barman, and a further 1 year in the bar/catering sector, having attended a hotel/catering school as well as having previous experience in a similar luxury hotel, will be considered additional advantages, proven management skills, exceptional customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), active listening skills, must speak, read, and write english, knowledge of additional languages (Greek, Russian, etc.) will be considered an additional advantage.

Working hours: Full time, 48 hours per week, 6 days per week
