Job Overview
The Bars Shift Leader will ensure the smooth running of the Bar on which he/she is on shift, making sure that all food, drinks, cocktails and beverages are prepared and served correctly, promptly and in the most efficient and effective manner. He/she will deliver the highest possible standards of service to guests, through continuous training, and will also be pro-active in maintaining and/or improving the Bars profitability in accordance with Resorts policies, procedures and standards.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
- To implement correct hotel service standards, monitor and strive for continuous improvement.
- To project a positive, professional and friendly image to the guests and employees.
- To thoroughly understand, adhere to and train in all Hotel quality standards in product presentation, service, customer service, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- To monitor the Bar activities by actively participating in the service and be vigilantly attentive to service details and all produce quality.
- To inspect his/her Bar daily (front and back) to ensure cleanliness, physical condition and functioning equipment.
- To ensure the daily supervision of all subordinates ensuring that their actions, duties and opening and closing duties are carried out in accordance with the pre-set procedures.
- To demonstrate thorough knowledge and ability in the execution of the service steps (following the sequence of service) during operational hours.
- To understand the ingredients, origins, combinations, methods of preparation, presentation and service of all food products, hot and cold drinks, wines, cocktails, other speciality drinks served.
- To ensure that drinks and cocktails are prepared according to original recipes.
- To ensure his/her subordinates and team members confidently merchandise all food, drinks, speciality drinks, cocktails and special features, using “up-selling skills” and follow the method actively.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must speak and write Greek and English very well.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in beverage industry.
- Proven experience as shift leader.
- Holder of an EU passport is essential.
