Position Overview
Aeolian Village Beach Resort is seeking an experienced and motivated Cook A’ – Cold Kitchen / Salads (Garde Manger) to join its culinary team for the upcoming season.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality salads, cold dishes, appetizers and buffet items, ensuring excellent standards of taste, presentation, freshness and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present salads, appetizers, cold starters and buffet items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure high quality, consistency and attractive presentation of all dishes.
Maintain proper food storage, labeling and FIFO procedures.
Monitor ingredient freshness and minimize food waste.
Assist with daily buffet preparation and restaurant service.
Maintain a clean, organized and hygienic cold kitchen environment.
Follow food safety, hygiene and health regulations.
Monitor stock levels and communicate requirements to the kitchen management.
Cooperate with the culinary team during preparation and service.
Assist junior kitchen staff when required.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in cold kitchen, garde manger or a similar position, preferably within a hotel, resort or restaurant.
Strong knowledge of salads, appetizers and cold kitchen preparations.
Good understanding of food presentation and buffet preparation.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Reliable, professional and team-oriented.
Knowledge of Greek and English will be considered an advantage.
Willingness to work on a seasonal employment contract.
