Position Overview

Aeolian Village Beach Resort is seeking a skilled Cook A’ – Cold Kitchen (Garde Manger) to join our culinary team for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and cold buffet items, ensuring that all food meets the resort’s standards for taste, presentation, freshness, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present a variety of cold kitchen items including salads, appetizers, cold starters, and buffet displays according to established recipes and standards.

  • Ensure all dishes are prepared with high quality, consistency, and attention to presentation.

  • Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO) to ensure freshness and minimize waste.

  • Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with inventory control for the cold kitchen section.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment in compliance with food safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with the culinary team and management to support menu planning and buffet setups for events and daily service.

  • Assist in training junior kitchen staff when required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a cold kitchen / garde manger cook in a hotel, resort, or restaurant environment.

  • Strong knowledge of cold kitchen preparations, presentation techniques, and food safety standards.

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Team-oriented, reliable, and flexible.

  • Fluent in Greek and English.

  • Willingness to work on a seasonal employment contract.
