Position Overview

Aeolian Village Beach Resort is seeking a skilled Cook A’ – Cold Kitchen (Garde Manger) to join our culinary team for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and cold buffet items, ensuring that all food meets the resort’s standards for taste, presentation, freshness, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present a variety of cold kitchen items including salads, appetizers, cold starters, and buffet displays according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all dishes are prepared with high quality, consistency, and attention to presentation.
Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO) to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with inventory control for the cold kitchen section.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with the culinary team and management to support menu planning and buffet setups for events and daily service.
Assist in training junior kitchen staff when required.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience as a cold kitchen / garde manger cook in a hotel, resort, or restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of cold kitchen preparations, presentation techniques, and food safety standards.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented, reliable, and flexible.
Fluent in Greek and English.
Willingness to work on a seasonal employment contract.
