An opportunity has arisen for a Software Engineer to join our PRIME Processing DevOps team in Nicosia.

Our Software Engineers will be responsible for coding, debugging, maintaining, supporting, implementing and validating applications whilst collaborating and communicating with appropriate parties. They will further maintain and utilise application and programming documents in the development of code, recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards, and create appropriate deliverables and develop application implementation plans throughout the life cycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with an agile team of DevOps to deliver products
• Coordinating with the team and the Technical Product Owner for the requirements and changes
• Developing code for TSYS Software independently using various tools and owning responsibility for quality assurance of their development
• Performing corrective measures for moderately complex code deficiencies and escalating alternative proposals as necessary
• Communicating and enforcing coding standards
• Writing technical solutions and converting business requirements into technical specifications.

Essential requirements:

• Oracle PL/SQL
• Oracle Databases design
• Hands on experience with GIT, Dockers and Jenkins pipelines

Desirable requirements for the role:

• Very good experience with Dockers, or certified
• Good experience with Kubernetes, or certified
• Any recent AWS certification

The successful candidate should have the following experience and skills:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with software developing, testing
• Database Development skills, specifically in Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience writing technical solutions and converting business requirements into technical specifications
• Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, B Tech or other technical degree. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
• Flexibility to work as part of a rotational 24 hour on-call programme
• Able to work occasional shift hours to meet client needs.
