Job Description

Full time employment for Hotels in Cyprus, to manage the daily restaurant operations and assist with menu planning, while maintaining sanitation standards and assisting servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversea the dining area and supervise food and beverage service staff in accordance with operating policies that he or she may help establish.
  • Create a positive team atmosphere among team members.
  • Maintains records of staff periodic manner and operating costs.
  • Provides feedback and coaching to the team regularly.
  • Treat all Team Members fairly and with respect.
  • Set high standards for appropriate team behavior on shift.
  • Work with food and beverage staff to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling procedures.
  • Handle guest complaints in the restaurant.
  • Schedule periodic food and beverage service staff meetings to ensure correct interpretation of policies and obtain feedback from staff members.
  • Maintain budget and employee records, prepare payroll, and pay bills, or monitor bookkeeping records.
  • Check the quality of deliveries of fresh food and baked goods.
  • Assist in planning regular and special event menu.
  • Effectively identify restaurant problems through reports and ideate & execute to resolve the problem.
     

Qualifications:

  • Leaving Certificate from a High School or Technical School
  • Working experience of at least 3 years in a similar position of a 4 or 5* Hotel
  • Excellent command of the English language. Greek Language will be considered as an advantage 
  • Character distinguished by courtesy and positive attitude towards customer service
  • A person who communicates well and has a genuine smile
  • EU Citizen or an EU Work Permit Holder
