Commis de Cuisine/ Prep Cook, for a luxury resort in Austria with starting date in November or December 2022

At the moment we are recruiting motivated Commis de Cuisine, for our partner hotel, luxury mountain resort in Austria, with starting date in November or December 2022. 

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Culinary school diploma or degree in culinary arts 
  • Good English or German 
  • Previous experience working as Commis de Cuisine, minimum 1 year, in a luxury hotel or high-quality restaurant 
  • Basic food handling and preparation knowledge 
  • Familiarity with health and safety kitchen rules and regulation 
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks 
  • Passionate about food with a desire to learn and work hard 
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask  
  • Able to work effectively as part of an international team 
  • International team player spirit and willingness to work abroad 
  • Groomed appearance, and great physical shape 
  • EU citizen 

 

Tasks 

  • Accurately measuring meal ingredients for the Chef de Partie 
  • Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits 
  • Preparing basic salads and sauces as directed by the Chefs de Partie 
  • Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality 
  • Taking inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies 
  • Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers 
  • Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized 
  • Plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef de Partie’s instructions.
